Private Rented Accommodation - Energy Efficiency Regulations

Updated: Sep 3, 2020

If you are a landlord or letting agent in the private rented accommodation, you may be aware of the “Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (Scotland) Regulations 2019” which will start coming into effect from the 1st April 2020.

These regulations will set out minimum standards for energy efficiency in private rented accommodation. The standards will become more stringent until 31st March 2025 when all private rented properties must achieve a minimum of EPC Band D.

Summit FS can provide a complete service in assessing, specifying upgrade works and undertaking all upgrade works required to achieve EPC Band D. Typical measures may involve upgrading heating, insulation or glazing. We can undertake all these measures in a single package providing minimal disruption to tenants and value for money to property owners.
